Who We Are

The Team at Kaipara Medical Centre

Physician-led and patient-oriented, Kaipara Medical Centre is a locally led practice owned by Tomos Longworth, Kathryn Elcock, and Jo Reid since 1st March 2026.

Our team includes a dedicated group of General Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, experienced nursing staff, and skilled administration professionals. Together, we work collaboratively to ensure our services are delivered promptly, professionally, and with genuine care and respect for every patient.

Continuity of care is central to our philosophy. It reflects the quality of care provided over time and involves a cooperative partnership between patients and their physician-led healthcare team. This ongoing relationship supports shared decision-making and coordinated health management, with the goal of delivering high-quality, cost-effective medical care.

Through a physician-led, team-based approach, we reduce fragmentation of services, enhance communication, and improve both patient safety and health outcomes. Kaipara Medical Centre strongly supports the vital role of General Practitioners in providing continuity of care across all healthcare settings – both directly and through effective coordination with the wider healthcare team and other healthcare professionals.

Under the leadership of Dr Tomos, Dr Kathryn, and Nurse/Practice Manager Jo, Kaipara Medical Centre remains focused on building a sustainable, thriving practice that provides consistent, compassionate, and reliable healthcare now and into the future.
